Spring Term 2018
Prestbury Tennis Club Junior Membership
As you may know Prestbury Tennis Academy is the official junior coaching programme of Prestbury Tennis Club, which is an LTA registered Club (UK Lawn Tennis Association). PTC receives no financial help from the parish council, so all facilities maintenance is carried out by the membership funds. As an example to this, the club has recently made the purchase of a modular building placed next to the courts which parents and children can now use a shelter, especially in bad weather.
In view of challenges and projects the club is involved with (improving facilities e.g. repainting of courts, improving club pavillon next to the courts, building a third court, and adding floodlights in the future), as well as the need to attract new members to the club, the club extends a PTC Junior Membership of £5 for the full year per child (ages 3-10), and £10 (ages 11-18) who wish to enoll in its junior coaching programme. PTC junior membership is required to all our children of this tennis academy. This PTC Junior Membership will be processed for you upon enrolment.
Prestbury Tennis Club is an LTA registered club. For more information about PTC’s activities, its membership options, LTA League team tennis, and social tennis, please contact the club directly:

We are now ready for our 10-week Spring Term 2018 tennis programme, and we are enroling NOW !
Spring Term 2018 will consist of an 10 week programme ending on 25th July. We have limited spaces available, so players will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The course is open to all children from 3 - 12 years old, irrelative of their tennis experience or skills. We will run lessons for all age groups (Tots, Mini Blue, Mini Red, Mini Orange, and Mini Green).
Open Lessons are the normal coaching lessons available to all players irrelative of their tennis experience or skills. They are called open because there is no admission criteria. These sessions are fun for everyone and provide a great space for guided practice and learning of tennis skills. They are also designed to be especially useful for those with little or no tennis experience and/or limited tennis skills. In these lessons there is a special emphasis on having fun through a variety of purpose games. The aim is to make all children enjoy this difficult sport from day 1, eliminating those sometimes usual first frustrations, and creating an environment where they simply see their weekly tennis lessons as a happy time with friends on the court.
STAR TENNIS ★ / Invitational Only
Star Tennis Squads are the Invitational-only performance lessons available to our more advanced players.
In the Star Squads there is an emphasis on fun too, but brought about through performance drills, intermediate to advanced technique learning, match play practice, and competition. This Performance Pathway is essential for the balance and future of our academy, as well as for players' motivation and enthusiasm, who will in this way have a better opportunity to play with friends of a similar standard, thus creating opportunities to feel always challenged, which will allow children to reach their own tennis potential in an effective and faster way.
In Star Squads lesson groups are reduced and limited, and sessions half an hour longer. These sessions times can be seen in our weekly timetable chart. Star payers participating in the 2018 Star Tennis Programme are encouraged to commit to at least to two sessions per week. (the second can be an open lesson if a star squad not possible).
